The 5th Grade Free Passport Program offers FREE skiing and/or snowboarding to every 5th grader in the Northwest Rockies. The program involves thousands of families, schools, and the snowsports industry. The 5th grade ski free passport opens doors to healthy fun, helping kids and their families enjoy our area's fantastic winter season. In addition, the Ski the Northwest Rockies participating members are offering free or discounted lessons and rentals for 5th graders. Some areas offer parents and siblings discounted lessons, too. Once you receive your passport see each ski area's information page for each ski area's discount details. How the passport works 5th graders receive three free tickets at each of the 5 participating Inland Northwest Ski Association Mountains and participating Idaho Ski Areas. The passport must be presented by the fifth grader to obtain a free one-day lift ticket. Individual students or groups of students must have adult supervision while at the ski area. The supervising adult is not required to ski. If the supervising adult skis an adult lift ticket must be purchased. Groups larger than four must contact each individual mountain before arriving. Have Fun! Applications will be available fall 2009 at: - 5th grade classrooms.
